Ethics Community of Practice - Coaching Virtually in Our Global World
Many coaches have worked virtually with clients before the pandemic and now many practices are operating solely online. Join the Ethics Community of Practice and Lily Seto, PCC, as they explore the ethical considerations when working virtually, emphasizing a global perspective. In this workshop, attendees will be presented with a case study and asked to discuss the ethical considerations in small breakout groups referring to the updated ICF Code of Ethics.

Instructor
Lily is the Principal of a coaching and facilitation practice with associates across North America. Her clients range from Human Resource professionals, middle managers and CEOs to individuals looking for a career change. Her areas of specialization include leadership development, conflict coaching, intercultural coaching, career coaching, managing through change and transition, and coach development. She also customizes workshops to meet the needs of her clients on such topics as team development, diversity and coaching skills.
Lily has a strong background in Learning and Development and Human Resources. She began her working life in retail and moved to the Federal Government, first on the front line and quickly moved into management positions. Her next step was into the Human Resources field, where she was nominated for the Silver Medal in Leadership in 2006 for her work in redesigning an organization in the Yukon Territories.
Lily then became the Coaching Strategist for the BC Government. In this role, she led the creation of an internal coaching program of 19 internal coaches who coach supervisors and managers on such topics as managing direct reports, career planning, and team coaching. A large part of this role included training and developing the coaches to serve the needs of the organization. Her work now predominantly is focused on partnering with individual Ministries to infuse a coaching approach to their daily work, with the goal to move to a higher performing organization. For this work, she was awarded the Royal Roads Leadership Award in Coaching.
Lily has a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University and a Masters in Leadership and Training and is currently enrolled in a Masters in Organizational Management and Development at Fielding Graduate University, where she recently earned a certificate in Evidence Based Coaching. She is a Professional Certifed Coach (PCC) recognized by the International Coach Federation and also holds a Diploma in Coaching Supervision from the Coaching Supervision Academy as well as a certification in Mentor Coaching. She is also a Past President of the International Coach Federation (ICF) Vancouver Island Chapter and currently serves on the Independent Review Board (IRB) on Ethics.
