Having lived and worked across numerous parts of the Indian sub-continent, Singapore and now in Switzerland, Shivi has been building effective virtually-connected teams since an early part of his career.
In his current role as the Global Growth Director for Johnson & Johnson’s hair care business, he is privileged to lead a highly diverse, cross-functional organization that’s located across USA, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific markets. Unifying this globally widespread team to a single shared purpose, while servicing every individual’s unique development needs in an exclusively virtual environment is challenging. It has led Shivi to try different approaches and pioneer unique ways in creating an effective virtual organization. While some approaches and tools worked well, others did not.
Shivi believes that leadership values are fundamental, regardless of being in-person or virtual, though the rapidly changing digital landscape requires a constant evolution of “how” we work. It is the balance between time-tested leadership values and new-age digital tools that he is passionate about. He is looking forward to connecting and learning from others across industries.
