In 2022, coaches face new challenges and opportunities for growth as they work to develop their businesses. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we've seen the coaching profession grow exponentially — more than ever, individuals are turning to coaches for a partner in navigating our changing world. More than ever, we are seeing coaching become an integral part of a thriving society. 

Whether you are a new coach developing your practice, or an experienced coach who is ready to expand, the ICF Business Development Workshop Series 2022 (BDWS 22) has something to offer you!

 Join CEO of Reach Personal Branding and motivational speaker, William Arruda and other subject matter experts for BDWS 22. This event features two content tracks across three themes, creating education opportunities tailored to your experience level and interests.

 BDWS OnDemand includes two content tracks: Launch and Grow. Launch sessions focus on the fundamentals and best practices for creating a thriving coaching business for coaches who are looking to expand and further develop their practice, Grow sessions focus on strategies for expanding business reach.

 *Completing the OnDemand Series, a learner can earn up to 28 CCE units in Resource Development. Learners can add these up and place them on their self-study log for their renewal application.

Define

START HERE - Making the Most of BDWS22 - Your Guide to Business Success -
William Arruda

Strap on your seat belt! In this action-packed session, Business Development Workshop Series (BDWS) host, William Arruda, will provide an overview of the program, share insights for maximizing your experience, and share tips for turning learning into action.  After this session, you’ll design a custom roadmap to engage with the program and begin creating an action plan to accelerate your coaching practice. 

Launch Track - Define

Create Your Brand ID: Promote a Unique Look and Feel – Jeff Rum

Your brand identity is the visual vocabulary of your practice. When you apply it to all of your communications, you build recognition and memorability while reinforcing your brand attributes with people whom you seek to influence. In this session, you’ll learn strategies from the CEO of a successful branding and media agency on identifying and developing your brand ID and how to apply it to your website, client communications, and social media profiles. You’ll leave this session with an understanding of how having a clearly defined brand ID will make running your business easier… and more fun, too!

Build Your Brand and Expand Your Success – William Arruda

Your brand is your most valuable asset. It enables you to stand out from other coaches, attract the attention of your ideal clients and grow your business. Personal branding gives you the mandate to live authentically and integrate who you are into how you deliver your coaching. In this session, you’ll learn the proven, three-step personal branding process that's been used by thousands of successful coaches so you can uncover, express and expand the brand called YOU. You’ll discover tested techniques for building a brand that’s worthy of remark and you’ll leave the session with greater clarity and direction for your coaching practice.

Define Your Niche- Target Your Ideal Clients - Karen Cappello, Shiri Ben-Arzi, and Bernhard Kerres

Although it seems counterintuitive, the smaller you make your target audience, the larger your practice can be. Establishing a coaching niche helps you build a profitable coaching business without having to spend your days searching for clients. With a clear niche, you will attract a steady stream of your ideal clients who seek to work with you. Master Coach Karen Cappello will share her successful strategy for defining your niche using a practical, proven process. She’ll also interview two successful coaches about how they identified their unique niche and pursued their target clients.

When it comes to measuring the impact of coaching, no metric is more important to senior leaders than ROI. Recent studies indicate that coaches "know" coaching has been effective, but the evidence to support this has been mostly anecdotal. The ICF 2019 Global Coaching Study revealed that measuring coaching impact is a challenge of the profession. This session will help you overcome this challenge by dispelling the biggest ROI myth – that calculating ROI is expensive and complex. The reality is that determining ROI is a logical and simple process with cost-saving opportunities along the way. You’ll leave this session with a clear understanding of the 12 easy steps for measuring the impact of coaching.
